On August 16, Amora Ubud held an exhilarating celebration in honor of Indonesia’s Independence Day (17 August), blending tradition, fun, and camaraderie. This year, the festivities featured an array of spirited team-building events that captivated both employees and guests, ensuring everyone felt like part of one big family. Among the highlights was the thrilling tug of war, which had participants cheering and heaving with infectious enthusiasm. Laughter and excitement filled the air as both strength and strategy were put to the test in this age-old competition.
In addition to the tug of war, creativity and teamwork were on display with the “Build a House out of straws” event. Teams were provided with an assortment of straws, along with other crafting materials, and tasked with constructing the most sturdy and aesthetically pleasing model homes. The challenge not only fostered a sense of unity but also allowed individuals to showcase their innovative thinking and collaborative skills. Adding a touch of precision to the festivities was the nail-in-a-bottle competition, a deceptively difficult challenge that required participants to guide a nail on a string into a narrow bottle opening. This event, open to employees, walk-in guests, and those staying at Amora Ubud, drew laughter and applause as competitors showcased their patience and steadiness.
